picking only five songs is tough, but these are my choices...

1) "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer (1979)
2) "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees (1977)
3) "Native New Yorker" by Odyssey (1977)
4) "Boogie Nights" by Heatwave (1977)
5) "I Want Your Love" by Chic (1978)

headbang

Good pick. Me being a HUGE fan of 70's disco, this is hard as hell for me to do, being that their are SO many that rank high on my list. 1975- 79 was disco's true period.

1) Love To Love You Baby - 1975
2) (You're A ) Native New Yorker - 1977
3) More, More, More - 1976
4) LeFreak - 1978
5) Get Off (by the group Foxy) - 1978

My top 20 would have been easier.

I ran a thread about that cut on here awhile back. Those lyrics are way out. Especially back in 78.

Yeah,a song like this paved the way for Vanity 6's "Nasty Girl" lol

horny females talking about "If you must do a piece, piece, piece of mine....come on and do it,do it!",lol....it certainly raised a few eyebrows (among other things) in 1978

That's a bad one too. Much better than the overplayed anthem, "I Will Survive", which I am so sick of hearing. Another great jam is "Dance With Me" by Rufus and Chaka Khan.

Y'all know I love The Jacksons, but I don't consider "Shake Your Body" a disco track. confused If I did it would be on the following list.

1. Boogie Oogie Oogie
2. We Are Family
3. Le Freak
4. Don't Leave Me This Way
5. Staying Alive
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I'm no connoisseur smile , but sometimes, there's nothing like a little disco, and I have a few favourites. In no particular order:

Turn The Beat Around - Vickie Sue Robinson
Peaches & Herb - Shake Your Groove Thing
Gwen Guthrie - Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent
Amii Stewart - Knock On Wood
Sylvester - You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) and Do Ya Wanna Funk. cool

-Cheers me up every time, and dancing is inevitable.
Well, lucky-lucky us. Lucky-lucky-luck.
