Its going to be freaking huge...95,000 tickets sold, outdoor concert. Rolling Stones are the highlight but Maroon 5, Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace will also be there....i'm jealous. my parents are cool.
With that many tickets available, perhaps you could score some last minute seats? i gotta work anyway..i believe the concert is sold out...but i'm sure you could find a scalper if ya wanted to pay 300 for your ticket!!! you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel

Well, this was in the brass section, so it's understandable that they might need it.

Good to have in case someone has a brain fart. Plus, they're the Stones. I'm sure they're operating on at least their 3rd brain transplants by now.

That might indicate that there's an electronic click track happening. I'm pretty sure Charlie Watts couldn't lay down a perfect 120 BPM on cue. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I just got back from my first ever Rolling Stones concert. I cannot believe Kieth Richards' solos! Very cool Gangsta. I regretably gave away some tickets and BS passes the last time they came through L.A. It would have been worth it just to see Keef... ...strike up some of his crazy R&R poses. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. HEY GANGSTAFAM!!!
I saw them too!!! LAST NIGHT in St. Paul!!! I am FLOATING! I had the same experience as you in that I was AMAZED by how awesome they are and Mick's incredible charisma and energy. Those guys LOVE TO PLAY!!! So remember how I was flirting with the idea of going? I was visiting my Mom (who is 62) and suggested we try to get tickets to the Stones since they just happened to be playing during my visit. She was like, "That'd be great! I'll pay up to $200!" So I kept telling her that if we just SHOW UP at the venue, we could probably score something. So she dropped me off and I milled around looking for tickets, scoped out the prices and seats and then tried to find her again. My crazy mom had hailed down a scalper and was cutting a deal so we got lower level seats, 7th row, below face value!!! And next thing I know, we're watching the Stones and my mom is passing me a joint she got from the people next to her. Granted, it wasn't FIRST row. But when that moving stage came down to our end, we were in about the 14th row and I SWEAR that Ron Wood waved directly at me because I was bopping up and down like nobody else. You know you're responsible for this, don't you?

I just got back from my first ever Rolling Stones concert. I could not believe my good fortune as I scored 4 front row tickets at well under cost. I got to go with my best friend, my mother and her best friend and I couldn't have picked a better group. The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect, the pre-show bar was perfect, everything was as it should be. And then the show. I cannot believe how much energy Mick Jagger has! Still. He did not mellow out for even one second. A true showman. I cannot believe how great the band sounded after all these years. I thought for sure I'd missed seeing them in their prime, but they haven't lost a thing with age. It just made them seem bigger, better and badder than ever. I cannot believe Kieth Richards' solos! I cannot believe how fucking great our seats were! I cannot believe that stage! I cannot believe how much fun we were all having. I mean, at some points my mother (58) and her best friend (43) were dancing on chairs. They probably spent a total of 10 hours collectively on their hair and makeup. I cannot believe I got a setlist afterwards! I was persistant, but I kept hearing, "They don't give them out" or "They throw them away" or "Why would they need a setlist, they know their show by heart." But I got one. The only one given out. I cannot believe how great all of the new songs were. I'm getting this album cuz based on the 4-5 songs I heard last night, it's gonna be killer. I cannot believe what a fan I'm becoming. I've always liked them, but now that I'm really learning their music, I'm in awe. And last night, they made me a fan for life. Go see this tour. Glad you had such a great time. I've seen the Stones 3 times in my life, but I can't go this time as I won't be in town. It's great to see that some people still appreciate real musicianship and real music rather than the shit that is over-rated and overplayed today. The Stones ARE the greatest rock band ever!

I think ours was the same except I thought we had another number between Satisfaction and Honky Tonk Women. I kinda wish they had kept Shattered. I'm pretty sick of Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Women and Brown Sugar, but it was a great show nonetheless. Very clean performance. Fantastic!

I'd never seen them before, so those songs were definite must-see's for me. So glad I heard 'em. Would love to hear Mother's Little Helper sometime though.

Sweet. Seems like in the last couple years, lots of folks have been skipping MPLS and Detroit. I've had to travel to Chicago and Toronto a lot for shows lately, not that that's a bad thing. But I don't like this recent trend of leaving us out!
