I saw part of their show at a summer festival injuly, those boys were hot!!
i wanted to watch the whole show, but some idiot scheduled Femi Kuti and Living Colour for the same time on different stages. The parts i did see were awesome and it's all of the original members, Will, Vernon, Muzz, and Corey!

Doug Wimbish (below) replaced Muzz Skillings on bass back in '92 and Muzz has not come back (last Muzz sighting was a few weeks back at the CGGB fundraiser where he was a spectator). test

My bad, i did know about Doug replacing him way back when, though.

I'd like to catch up to Muzz' band...MEDICINE STICK, but he stays local on the East coast. test

So the show was great last night. It was my 5th time seeing them. They opened with Memories Can't Wait. They also played Middleman, Open Letter to a Landlord, Type, Glamour Boys, Go Away, Funny Vibe, a new song and a few others I didn't recognize. I had to leave early because my back was hurting... and dancing on the concrete didn't help. So I missed Cult of Personality... and who knows what else.
Corey was great as usual. What a powerful voice. The crowd was great. It was a small venue, the House of Blues. Vernon did some amazing solos. His eyes kept rolling to the back of his head and at one point, he was just going off and the crowd was going nuts... even the security gaurd at the side of the stage was compelled to lean over so he could see it with his own eyes. A few songs later he was groovig' and claping, watching the show with the rest of us. Will did a great solo as well, and Doug was doing some crazy stuff on the computer (and the bass of course!). I don't recall that much electronic elements in their past shows. I love Living Colour. They make me happy.

Their 2003 comback album was awesome, some really nasty grooves on it and a great version of AC/DC's Back in Black. Collideoscope i believe it was called.

Agreed. I love the CD although it seems to divide a lot of folks. I like it 'cause it was dark, nasty, dense and uncomprising. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

I remembered a few more things from the San Diego show. During an intro to a song they were all wating for Vernon to start and he played a note and stopped really quick and they all looked at each other and cracked up. I love their sense of humor.
After another song they just stood there while the crowd roared and cheered and got louder and louder. Corey just looked at the crowd with a huge grin on his face and said "You're making me noivos!" (nervous) This was somewhere in the middle of the show. When they first came out his reaction to the crowd was "It sure is nice to be noticed!" During Open Letter to a Landlord they stopped and let the crowd sing the chorus. That was great. And of course the opening to that song was Corey's awesome solo. I'm bummed, I just read PfunkJazz's review on the Sacred Ground yahoo group. I probably missed some good songs towards the end of the show. I really want to go to the LA show next week.
