WHY are the archives of ITunes & BuyMusic so incomplete?

Yea, I could do Kazaa or Napster or whatever the fuck is happening right now but I really don't want to deal w/ any of that. The cool thing about buying music on the net is that you can get the one cut you want & leave the rest, right? That AND you can do it in your drawz sipping coffee So why am I hunting high & low for:



Aaron Hall - Don't Be Afraid, Bomb Squad Remix: The original is on the Juice soundtrack, a slower version is on an album of his, but the best version is floating in the fucking wind somewhere The song is dumb as shit ("you be sayin' daddy to me..." ) but I love that beat! Can't find the shit





EPMD - I'm Housin': On their debut album (I know, I should just break down & get the album... but fuck that ) It samples Aretha's Rock Steady & it'd be nice to have another version of that kickass beat in my car Can't find the shit...

I haven't figured out why some stuff is incomplete on iTunes - like for Prince, you can't buy the song Purple Rain - it's even missing from the purple rain soundtrack. I also haven't figured out why sometimes even when the album is complete, you are forced to buy it track by track.

The biggest mystery, though, is why everything isn't on there. Everything should be - including stuff that otherwise is out of print. I've actually had luck finding some out of print stuff, but why isn't everything up there - what possible reason could there be to not put content on iTunes - it's free to put it up there, there is no overhead and it generates revenue. Where is the downside.
