David Bowie circa the Plastic Soul Period of 1974-1975. Regal and detached at the same time.
Pretty good cover of Wild is The Wind (originally by Nina Simone) "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

Remy's falsetto seems forced to me, I'm not feelin' his vocals. "But what of black women? . . . I most sincerely doubt if any other race of women could have brought its fineness up through so devilish a fire." -- W.E.B. Du Bois --

Pretty good cover of Wild is The Wind (originally by Nina Simone) Absolutely. He's carried over that vocal style to today.

Barry's voice is nice, but he can't fuck with Teena Marie's voice. Barry is the standard. Go listen to Love So Right, Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) and For Whom The Bell Tolls and get back to me.

Robin Thicke, who probably delivered the best "blue eyed soul" album in recent times.

Teena just doesn't touch me. I've made that quite clear in the past. If she does it for you, so be it. Dusty Springfield is a more genuine and classic vocalist to my ears. tA France countdown - T-Minus 7 days and counting. Some Barry Gibb vocal stories
- when they recorded the music for the Sgt Pepper soundtrack, George Martin was producing. He had Barry record the same part several times. George was trying to get the layered vocal effect like Prince uses in 7, only he didn't tell Barry what he was doing. Barry's vocals were so spot on that it just sounded like one vocal until he told Barry what he was trying to do. - when Barry produced Immortality for Celine Dion, Barry was able to sing a full octave higher than Celine.
