last week-end I went to the pukkelpop-festival in Belgium. Closing act was Nick cave...and man he was awesome. His setlist was a mix of new songs and classics...but man he rocked. I've got to get me a bootleg from this tour cause his songs sounded a lot different this time. Very hard, loud...almost metal like. I saw a lot of acts that week-end (marilyn manson, bonnie prince billy, the hives,...) but nick's performance was the only time i actually went star-struck..."oh my god, that's nick cave...he's right there...oh my god" you know what i mean. He was absolutely awesome. if you ever get a chance to see him life...take it (with both hands)
