The org knows I dont like it. and personally I find the music very dull and uninspired. But it has cred and a organic sound, and people like the atmosphere it brings. | |

Those artists are just overrated. They're not talentless or anything, but so overrated on this board.
I heard so many good things about D'Angelo, and then I hear his music and it's just derivative, bland neo-soul without any touch of brilliance anywhere. Same goes for Van Hunt. I thought this guy was gonna show some serious potential, but that song of his "Down Here in Hell With You" put me into a goddamn coma. It's not even just to do with expecting prime material off his mere debut album either, cause I hear ten times as much brilliance in other debut albums like For You. Bottom line, most of these neo soul crooners are B-O-R-I-N-G or just plain shit. Don't even get me started on that flat out lame music by R. Kelly. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
