Olivia! Am I going crazy? Probably. In a short time span I have dedicated a thread to the genius of Abba (thank you, takers) and the likes of Dinah Shore and Kay Starr. And today it's Olivia Newton-John. Sure, she only made a few hits world-wide (we're NOT counting Australian only hits), but this record covers it all. The tracklist to this ittyditty is also great, spanning songs from two movies that made her the global star she is still today. A flagship for the awareness of breast-cancer, like her fellow Ozzie Kylie Minogue... 1. Heart Attack 2. Magic 3. Physical 4. Hopelessly Devoted To You 5. Make A Move On Me 6. A Little More Love 7. You're The One That I Want 8. Tied Up 9. Suddenly 10. Xanadu Besides the fact that the hits I do not like much at least have a fun novelty factor, there is ONE song on it that prompted me to buy it... A Little More Love is just a great track, that I love lots... Give it (whatever) up for Olivia! Stay tuned for Gooey's kneefall to ultimate gay music! Next in this series; Hurray For The Carpenters!

I highly assumed this was going to be about the "R&B" singer who recently became an ingenue to 50 Cent of all people.
She has two very comprehensive video collections coming out (Volume one and two....) with all of her music videos and live performances. Seems very surprising but I hope it sells well so that they do the same for other Univerisal artists, especially Donna Summer! After all, the video is titled "Gold", much like the recently released double sets that both artists recently had released. Both artists have been victims of their music being rehashed on certain music titles like "Gold" and "20th Century" and both had mini video sets released.

I have the video on my computer - she's dressed like Tinkerbell in black. That album is a good collection (the late, great Herb Ritts took the cover photo) but doesn't include other good tunes like Please Mr. Please and Have You Never Been Mellow. ONJ has always had a great voice. I like that she changed her image toward the latter half of the 70s...just like Sandy did in Grease.

Yep, and I'm both happy and annoyed with this. There's no rhyme or reason to the sequencing either. They're spread over 2 separate discs so that you HAVE to buy both, even if you just want her hits.

I noticed that, too. They definately want you to buy both. They probably figure there is a limited audience for this (ONJ is great and all, but I don't see her video collection topping any charts anytime soon...hell, I don't see anything from her topping any charts anytime soon). If they sold it as a two DVD set, they would probably have to reduce the price so selling them seperately works. I have an idea this is an expirment that Univerisal is going to try out to see whether it is worth doing with other artists (again I mention Donna but also Kiss). I'd love to see all of Donna's videos!
