I don't have any of her albums, just singles and various cuts. Guess it's time for me to go on a Goldfrapp binge and buy all three albums. I think her voice is lucious
Supa, I'm sure you'll love it. Maybe I wouldn't call it 'genius', like I originally did (I think I was a bit smitten) but it's still the best album I've heard all year. Wait 'til you hear 'Time Out From The World'. Beautiful. And you'd definitely love 'Black Cherry' - it's so dirty and luxurious at the same time. Let me know what you think! And dancerella, I'm glad your copy has arrived. It probably is genius. I would not doubt that term as applied to Miss Goldfrapp. I LOVE LOVE LOVE train and a friend included Black Cherry on a mix CD he made for me last Christmas and it was so out of character for the rest of the CD I just dug it Can't wait to get ahold of this. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'm surprised the big chains aren't carrying it. Usually Tower and Virgin are good at stocking imports. Yeah, I didn't mind too much about spending that much as i figured that would be the price. I bought mine at Tower Records!

WOWEE ZOWEE!
I finally found a copy of 'Supernature' today! (At the same Tower that didn't have it two days ago, grrr.) This album is incredible--like the Human League, Kraftwerk and Fischerspooner throwing one big party! Onenitealone was not exaggerating one bit in the initial post. Easily Goldfrapp's best album yet.

I've only listened to it twice now, had it on whilst working
and I have to be honest and say that it sounds like one long song to me. By the time I checked the playlist to see which song was on, it was already at the last song!! It sounded as if they'd structured a dozen songs around the same drumbeat. A bit boring, but I'll give it another try and listen more attentively. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I understand your criticism, but I interpreted that characteristic as the album being more consistent than the previous two. On 'Felt Mountain' and 'Black Cherry', there were songs that I really liked and songs that I didn't care for. On 'Supernature' however, I really like every song. Is that because they all sound similar? Perhaps, but this is all subjective anyway, right?
