Songs with the LM-1 Rimshot Q

Does anyone know of any artists besides Prince or Ready For The World that has songs that feature the "kuh" LM-1 sound? Thanks.

i love it! though i've noticed a lot of Common fans had a hard time with this one. i dug it, very experimental. i was hoping that Common would continue in this direction, but seems like he felt like he had to redeem himself for some reason. i'd give EC a B+ and i absolutely loved Like Water for Chocolate, highly reccomend that one! As for his other albums, they didn't move me much. Lyrically, he was coming with it, but musically it was bland. IMO. The best thing he could've done was hooking up with JayDee and from the sounds of it, Kanye. lol

Hey this one doesn't have the sound in it, but Prince programming fetishists might enjoy it:

Also, The Deele's "Two Occasions" and that song Babyface produced for Pebbles (can't think of it now).

Don Henley's "End of the Innocence" featured Linn-sounding programming, too. I'm also pretty sure I heard a Linn on Nichole Nordeman's latest CD release. Surprised me. But a lot of today's producers grew up listening to Prince and are fans of that sound.

Obviously I cant afford to buy one of Roger Linn's revolutionary drum machines but does anybody know of any drum programming software that duplicates the sounds of a LM?

I didnt know that Roger Linn had a hand in making the Akai MPCs until today after doing some research on Linn from reading this thread!
