MTV sucks- sure: what R YOUR fav. era's?

alot of yall say it was horrible now { i understand that} but it woul dbe interesting to know when was your favorite time period....and WHY.

i kinda liked the late 90's {1997-2000} because they still had alot of videos at that time and a few reality shows {but not TOO much.} and plus programs like BIOrhythm and other MTV NEWS programs were good.

and plus i kinda miss that.... "pop" era..... eek i know, but it made 6th grade fun..... all the little white girls all giddy and bouncing up and down..... razz

To be honest with you, I have never quite been too much a fan of MTV. The only shows/events I watched that was aired on MTV were the following: MJ Related Shows, Prince Related Shows, Club MTV, Yo MTV Raps,Amp, Liquid TV, Headbangers Ball, and 120 minutes. Other the show or events I mentioned, I rarely watched MTV.

Uh.. I say the decade of the 90's. Early, mid, and late.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I'd say:

1981 - 1985: Begining to when the Music Industry figured out to put money behind the young stars

1991 -1993: Grudge blew Pop & Hair Metal off the map

1996 - 1997: No Doubt, Alanis & other females ruled the channel, before Pop cam back and ruined the channel.

That's my favorite period too. I will admit I still watch MTV sometimes but not like I used to. That's because it's nothing like this time period for me.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The best years of MTV were definitely 1982 and 1983.Actually,the entire 80s,but primarily the early 80s.It was around 1990 when things started to go downhill.
