The strange thing is I consider this one of the best soundtracks of all time, yet wouldn't recognize if I heard them some of the non-Bee Gees tracks. I'll go with More Than a Woman" performed by Tavares because it doesn't stand up to the Bee Gees version.

to further elaborate, this was a strange album for me. The biggest selling album of my childhood and I went forever before I owned it. The first album I ever bought was Bee Gees: Here at Last Live... By the time SNF came out, I had the older Bee Gees tracks that were on it, and back then I mostly bought singles anyway, so I bought the singles for Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, How Deep is your love. By the time I started to become a bee gees completist, I already had Bee Gees Greatest, so there never seemed a point in buying the soundtrack.

I did finally buy the CD a few years ago just to finally have it, but all I have loaded into iTunes are the Bee Gees tracks, plus If I Can't Have You and Boggie Shoes, so can't even pull up the rest. I do remember my dissapointment when I came home with the More Than A Woman single and discovered it wasn't the Bee Gees version they had been playing on the radio. The Bee Gees gave a way a certain #1 song by canceling their release of that to allow Tavaras to release their version.

but don't you like the other songs on the album like "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps and "K-Jee" by MFSB? This album is more than just the soundtrack for a popular movie,it is the soundtrack of an entire era.It was disco's finest moment.
