"Greatest Hits" & Maxwell shouldnt be in the same sentence.. he has had what.. 3 albums, and the last one was utter shit. So was the one before. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

This album will definanlty stand the test of time.. I'm positive when people rediscover this album in the future it will satisfy for its originality in its sound. [Edited 8/20/05 16:17pm] Agreed! Now was a complete let down after the sonic brilliance that is Embrya. They aren't even in the same league. Now is more of a compromise whereas Embrya is a bold artistic statement where Max proved that he was going to be a talent to be reckoned with. It just amazes me that so many people did not dig Embrya. It's esoteric at times but still highly accessible. I just think Maxwell's style and ideas are a little too progressive for much of his fan base. The bold leap forward between his first two studio albums is too much for some people to stomach. And that is a damn shame.

Yeah, he does: 90% from UHS, 5% from Embrya and 5% fom NOW LOL! Hell, they might as well just re-release his first album with a few songs from his two albums as bonus tracks then.

It's been almost 10 years, I'm sure they could compile something with no problem despite the fact he has only 3 albums and an EP. And the soundtrack songs were pretty well recepted...
Could include all the singles: 1. Til the Cops Come Knockin 2. Sumthin Sumthin 3. Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder) 4. Whenever, Wherever Whatever 5. Suitelady (The Proposal Jam) was a promo that got radio airplay 6. Luxury:Cococure 7. Matrimony:Maybe You 8. Fortunate 9, Let's Not Play the Game 10. Get to Know Ya 11. Lifetime 12. This Woman's Work (unplugged version) 13. For Lover's Only was a promo that got radio airplay ... a few bonus remixes or unreleased tracks wouldn't hurt... ... looks like he warrants a package. And hell, if Macy Gray could get one even though she only had one certified hit, I don't see why Maxwell can't have one

Sounds like a contract fulfiller.
"Now" was pretty awful. "Embrya", although not brimming with commercial singles, is a cracking atmospheric album. Considering all the supposed crap he's getting re his sexuality from his "former" label, I think he should find a more sympathetic company or do it himself

UHS and Emnrya had a certain class, a unique style, whereas Now sounds like it has no direction. Embrya had DIRECTION? LOL! Where was it going to? Hell? No man, Embrya is a cohesive beautiful album with a special atmosphere and a unique style to it. "Now" was such an incredible let down after his first two albums. It's a colaboration with some band I keep forgetting the name of. "Softly, Softly" is a great song off the Sweetback album, which is a project of Stuart Mathewman from the Sade Band. It´s actually the complete Sade Band under a different name, the only person missing is Sade Adu. As far as I know they have two albums. I have the first one with Maxwell singing on Softly, Softly, but I´m not really a 100% sure about the sophomore release, but I think there is a second album. Maxwell should do more projects with Mathewman instead of collaborating with people like R.Kelly...Fortunate was a good song, but I prefer the chemistry between him and Mathewman. Kinda like the male version of Sade. [Edited 8/22/05 3:59am] " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
