Dionne Farris returns Dionne Farris is finishing a new studio album, her first in a decade. The as-yet-untitled set is slated for a first-quarter 2006 release through Sanctuary Urban, label president Matthew Knowles tells Billboard.com. He describes the new music as "a lot more R&B but [it] still has a slight alternative edge."
Following her 1995 Columbia solo debut, "Wild Seed -- Wild Flower," Farris has remained largely off the radar in recent years. The album spawned the smash single "I Know," which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40 chart, No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary tally and No. 4 on the Hot 100. The artist is perhaps best known for her contribution to Arrested Development's breakthrough 1992 single "Tennessee," which reached No. 6 on the Hot 100. -- Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

i think thats old news...this is the last known communication from dionne camp:
Dionne is set to go in the studio to finish her record, but she is
being held up once again by another record company! Please put you prays up for Dionne, asking God to cover her with his Holy waring angles. This project must come out. The world needs to hear her blessed voice again. We're believing the Creator for this one. No devil in hell is going to stop it!! Space for sale...
