I believe, Gil Evans was primarily the arranger.
Ted Macero and George Avakian did the bulk of the producing during the Columbia years.

Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach/Hal David.

I'm gonna go on record now and say that hers are my favorite pop songs EVER. Beautiful instrumentation through and through. Her work was never near as good as it was with Bacharach and David once they stopped working together.

That's a great compilation. You need to pick up this one if you can find it:

It's out of print, but - believe it or not - it's every bit as good as its sister release! Some great album tracks, lower-charting singles and B-sides. It has her original version of The Carpenters' hit (They Long to Be) Close to You, her take on Herb Alpert's This Girl's in Love with You (brings a tear to my eye) and other great ones like I Smiled Yesterday, Any Old Time of Day, In the Land of Make Believe, and many others. I've seen it used on eBay and Amazon for around $20 or so.
