POE - Haunted. talk about the worst victim of major-label greed. Poe's brilliant 2nd album "Haunted" doesn't sell like Britney, and she gets dropped.

I've not heard any of POE's music, but I worked with a gal that was soooo excited to go to one of her shows (this was 9 or so years ago) and she came in the next day...I asked her how the show was. She said she didn't get to go because her boyfriend had left the concert tickets on the front seat of his car driving with the window open and they blew out the window.

damn,i use to love this album,i still do,i remember i listen to it uh..3 times,while my parents drove us all to los angeles,somehow the imagine worked with the freeway and the mountains we past..but anyways..yeah..i was wonder what did happend to her,i think artist should still record,even thought thier not as popular as before,becuase they still get to make art,and express themselves,but in this case this is different,she was dropped from her record label contract, in which is proof that the music bussiness is so hurtful,and yet i am so atracted to this media..the greed..is alluring somewhat. | |

i would consider Poe to be "alternative pop/rock" - sorta in the same category as Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, etc. | |

The song "Wild" is incredible. Any other Poe fans out there in cyber-world? Seen her in concert 5 times! She used to hit the LA scene a lot (I've seen her at the Whisky a-Go-Go, the Roxy, the Beverly Center and she also opened for Lenny Kravitz on the Circus tour and Depeche Mode on the Exciter tour.) LOVE HER!!!! The last thing she appeared on, to my knowledge was Rhys Fulber's side project "Conjure One" (she appears on 2 tracks)... worth hunting down if you like her. She got so screwed by her record label. It's a damn shame! | |

I love POE! 'Haunted' is one of my favorite albums ever. It's so sad how fucked he got by Atlantic.
For those who dont know...she is on Conjure One's (Delerium's Rhys Fulber's side project) new album 'Extraordinary Ways' which is out on August 30th on Netwerk/EMI Records. She provides vocals for a couple of tracks under the name 'JANE'. For legal reasons she could not use 'POE'....sad but true! enjoy Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
