I love Fiona...but I pick Tori. If Fiona had as many albums and toured as much it'd be a toss up, but Tori wins based on breadth of great material. And Carole too, and the very underated Carly Simon...there's a whole GENERATION of piano playing ladies who worked the confessional songwriting genre and paved the way for all these gen-X chicks, and I think it's a shame that a lot of the younger people, partcularly young women who want to carry on this legacy, don't even know who these women are!!! It's insane. I have singer songwriter friends here who are immensely talented, in the 28 year old range, where I had to break down and give them individual cd compilations of (PRE-1980's)female piano playin' poetic divas because THEY JUST DIDN'T KNOW...again, just nuts.
