As a fan, I'm always surprised by her capacity 2 re-invented and to say a big "FUCK U!" 2 all the critics!

hmm, am I the only one who thinks the lyrical repeat of

just doesn't fit the music at all? perhaps it will tie
in better if I hear the entire song instead of just an
awkward 1 minute sample.

i don't know, i just hoped she would come up with some
cool lyrics this time round but it doesn't look like a
lot of good is to be expected from an upbeat dance cd,
with no ballads.

the last lyric of her i considered good were some of
the songs on "American Life", admitting but none of the
lines of any song since the "Ray of Light" album has
stuck in my head or keeps popping up.

"Ray of Light" was a crowning achievement considering
the lyrics she came up with. "Mer Girl" is probably my
favorite Madonna track to date simply because of those
beautiful revealing lyrics.

The last lines that keep popping up in my head are


i'm gonna destroy my ego
i'm gonna close my body now


Now that's the kind of lyrics that makes me
shame there wasn't more of that recently.

BTW, I just started counting the discs and excluding "I'm Breathless" and counting it was a soundtrack (which I'm not sure that I would), "Confessions" is only Madonna's 10th CD....it just seems like she has soo many more out. I know that's stuff everyone probably knows....I just can't stand waiting like this.....

I predict she'll do the promo for this right (or the opposite...really wrong)! There may or may not be preachy interview with Matt Lauer (they're starting to become non-events...now if she says something interesting and is fun for once, we'll watch and enjoy it) but hopefully she'll do both Dave and Jay and sing at both (only she could get away with that). Maybe just talk on Conan (even though I have school/work everyday, I'd stay up for that one). I think this album will be an extreme in every way. A massive flop (bigger than AL) or a monster hit (bigger commerically and prehaps critically than ROL). I would say dispite "Music" the single being a smash, the album was kind of "middle" hit in beween the highs and lows of ROL and AL. COAD will be something totally out there... Just watch.

The 2002 (or around that time) hit from "Fever" and an album track from her very first album. The "Fever" one is much better (especially that US remix) but the first LAFS is nice. Funny, huh?

BTW, I realize there are far too many comments too keep up with but did everyone get the big memo on the date change for the album. This isn't from any news source or fan site but from both Amazon and Cduniverse. It's coming out a week earlier, November 8th! Respond, damn it?
