I thought you were a fan? why would you post those pictures? why have you turned on Madonna?

i think he was just showing the pictures because she changed her hair colour, not because he was making fun of her

it was just for the change in hair color. also this is Madonna without makeup. in one of the tabloids they have 60 celebs without Makeup and she looks awhole lot better than most.
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

"Hung Up" is truly a fantastic song.Very fresh, very happy,bouncy...very Goldfrapp/Mirwais/Scissor Sisters---but with a fucking awesome killer beat!!!!! It will be huge despite it's lack of lyrics

I like the way he describes the new single as Mirwais / Goldfrapp / Scissor Sisers.....cause they all sound the same dont they.

To be honest I do think this album will be a hit. American Life was the most unmarketable Madonna album yet. It simply didnt have the singles to catch the casual audience. Dont get me wrong, I love the album, I simply dont think it was possible to market to a pop audience. If the next one has 3 killer songs on it, and the rest average (like Music), it will sell well.

The problem with AL was:

1) Dropping the AL video - it was a great video, that other one was cheap and tacky - people laughed at it.
2) The first 2 singles (Die Another Day & American Life) were two of her weakest ever, so it gave a really bad impression of the album to casual fans.
Coupled with the fact that there were not really any obvious radio hits on there.

3) The timing. The media hyped it up to be an anti-war album, but in reality only the video for AL made this connection, most of the songs covered ground madonna has covered many times before. As a result of this political connection it suffered. Airplay suffered and reviewers would criticise it without even making reference to the music on it.

The new album needs a great lead of single to be a hit. If its fresh and catchy it will do the job. Coupled with a stylish video, it will sell itself. No need to do endless tacky prommotions on every single TV show, no need for boring interviews about how her life has changed (hasn't it changed with every album since 1998 yet still never been different???)

If I were her publicist Id limit her to two major interviews, one to the music press (Rolling Stone??), and one to a TV network, and Id make sure that the emphasis was music, past & present. Too many times we always hear about the kaballah this or her country house that, i dont care, just talk about the music.

The album also needed better artwork. That cover was pure trash, and Madonna knew it, too. Apparently she was really upset with the photographer, Craig McDean.

Actually, I've seen color verisons taken from the session and they looked really cool. The black and white and red thing was blah.
