Ralph Tresvant making new album? http://eurweb.com/story.cfm?id=21824
Ralph Tresvant, who grew up before our very eyes as the front man of New Edition, is looking to put a new solo album in stores by October or November. The singer has been in the studio working on his first solo project since “Sensitivity,” his debut released 13 years ago. The artist is working with Xzault Media Group in California and is said to have new material that will satisfy the fans who had the New Edition buttons on their Members Only jackets back in the 80s, as well as new music lovers. R.T. is also setting up shop behind the microphone, having recently bought shares of Xzault Media Group with plans to produce film and television projects, as well as two new albums with the company. As for New Edition, Tresvant is still involved with Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike and Johnny, and a new N.E. album is said to be in the works for next year.

I don't thuink Ralph will sing about those things. Isn't that the reason he and New Edition left Bad Boy because Diddy made them sing about lots of things. PRINCE: Always and Forever

The album came out in 1994 and it was called "It's Goin' Down" And that album was appropriately titled - becasue that's where it went - down as in down the charts., he should have named it, It's goin up. He did have a decent song on that album titled, "Sexo" As far as Ralph's Mo is concerned, he doesn't disrecpect women so his lyrics (and guest rappers) will be mature and less controversial. His videos will be tasteful, he also just got married so expect a lot of syruppy/Brain McKnight type ballads and shit. He's just putting out music because he can - I don't think he's at the stage where he cares too much about sales...I mean, if he goes gold that would be a huge success.

U made me did it up for "sexo". Ur right, its a cool song. What surprised me most about that album is that he does most of the producing, writing, playing all by himself. "graveyard" is a good pop song. "shaky ground" is my personal fav. Sounds like an MJ song. That album came out in 1994. It sounded 1992 and it was too pop with those huge ass snares making it seem outdated before it even hit the shelves. But it does have its moments. The title track is good fun too. He can write. Which surprised me. Its a gem that is worth picking up. U'll be surprised.
