Michael & Stevie.... the duets.

egad, these two songs really blow. i've hated Just Good Friends for years, but i just had the displeasure of sitting through Get It.

wtf?! yeah, superstar duets generally tend to fizzle (Madonna & Prince, etc.) but christ, these 2 just really drag each other down.

well, "hate" is to much... but I agree that those are not the best moments in the career of any of those two...

"Just Good Friends" sucks, and it should have never made it onto the 'Bad' album. But "Get It" is a great tune.

Hardly. There's like, 8 or 9 nine people in that chorus, including MJ and Eddie Levert.

Dis y'all know in the Motown vaults, there is an unreleased Stevie Wonder/Michael Jackson LP just waiting too be heard. It was recorded in late 1973. The only known track from these sessions is a song titled "Buttercup."

Now as greedy as Barry Gordy was at that time, ya'll know good and well, if it had anything on it that resembled a hit, it would have been released with the quickness. If it got buried in the Motown vault, it was probably for the best. shrug

Yet the songs on the final disc of the Soulsation box set were kept away for over 20 years and those are better than a LOT of J5 album tracks.

Are u sure you're not talking of Donna Summer's State Of Independance for I can only remember Michael singing background vocals on Stevie's All I Do.

What I heard is that Stevie Wonder produced an entire album for the Jackson 5 scheduled for release in 1973, but after the unanticipated success of the 7" single Dancing Machine, taken from the Get It Together album, Motown decided to use outtakes from the GIT sessions, rush released an album aimed for the dancefloor, titled Dancing Machine in order to capitalise on the group earliest success.

I dont know either. It was the first song I ever learned the lyrics to from Bad back when I was like 8 years old. I love Just Good Friends. I love Michaels vocals, and the chorus rocks headbang I jam this song to this day without a problem...

Now Get It...I dunno about that..its aiight but..

It's a weak song....overproduced and overpolished. When you get two of the biggest artists on a song together, the song should be spectacular."Just Good Friends" falls short.

No,the song "All I Do" features several other guest artists singing backup (besides Michael).Check the CD credits.

I think that it was a betta idea that Stevie wrote "I Can't Help It' for Mike, rather than doin a duet.

To tell the truth, the vast majority of superstar duets are a bit rubbish.
