Z CULT FAVE/ The OJAYS "Stairway To Heaven" & ZEPPELIN"S "Stairway TO Heaven" One was released in 71 and the other in 76. One was at one time, the MOST requested song on radio, ever. The other is a cool song on a cool album. When I was little, I always found it interesting that they had the same song title. And a uncommon song title as well. I could write a whole thread about Zepp's "Stairway To Heaven" alone. The out of this world backward masks, the rumours, the legend, the power and the mystic vibe this song STILL has to this day. Obviously The OJAYS dug it. At least the title anyways. Both songs are on different levels, so there is no need to compare. (unless ya'll want to). Just running this for my friends out there. Like I mentioned, always thought it interesting in the same title for entirely different songs. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I was just talking to somebody about this last week, how I thought it was hilarious that when You would say "Stairway to Heaven" , most of the brothers would go , oh Yeahh, The O'Jays!!!!!, and white people would go , "Yesss!!! Zeppelin!!  I Love both of em, they both take me back!!

Well BG Baby, I like both songs actually. It's hard to choose between both of them b/c I am fan of my homeboys from Ohio the O'Jays and Zeppelin. | |
