my boyfriend is the membership coordinator at mocp (musuem of contemporary photography) in chicago. he just told me that the musuem will be hosting a listening event for the new sigur ros record. he hasn't writtent the press release yet but i do know that it will be on 7 september from 7-9pm. if you're interested in hearing the new record before its release...and see some cool work at the same time...you should come out.

wow, this is something i might actually be able to attend during the week!

by the way, the current exhibit is fantastic. even if you can't make it out to the listening party, you should check out "The Innocents." i forget the photographer's name...taryn something or other...but the whole show is centered around wrongfully convicted prisoners who were, through dna evidende, later exonerated. its a powerful exhibit and a must see for anyone even remotely interested in photography and/or our judicial/corrections system.
