I love this cat. He's like a hybrid between Seal and Al Jarreau. His voice isnt gimmicky, its smooth and organic. He is the real deal. His backstory is very uplifting and inspirational as well. It helps to prime your ears before listening to his soul food. He writes his own tunes and has plenty to say and for that Im grateful! Anybody have his 2 cds or seen him live? What do u think of him?

I agree. Kem is the truth. He's doing real music from his soul in the tradition of Al Jarreau and Stevie Wonder. He is one of the best things to come out of Detroit since... well the last thing that came out of Detroit.

I've been diggin' Love Calls very much for a while now. Kem is like "a breath of fresh air" for me. The dude is sick! I've only got this single with some snippets of other songs, and from what I've heard I definitely have to go pick up both albums (cds).

I was wondering why no one on the org was talking about him. I haven't bought his albums yet but I've heard the first one and like the single off the second. His lyrics and style are definitely refreshing.

Yes Kem is the real deal! He has real talent, unlike most artist today that are manufactured out of the major label record studios.

I love this hometown artist. His debut was in regualr rotation until II came out and now that's in the mix. It's not as good to me but he's real and there's a great cover on the album (I get lifted), not as gritty as the original but just to cover it makes me like this guy.

Ugh! How can I say this - I'm torn between this cat: I can't take his voice but I like his music. Yeah, that sounds about right.
