PHOTOGRAPHER TO SUE SPEARS' CAMP OVER SHOOTING-AP

A photographer is planning to sue Britney Spears and her bodyguards for millions -- because he claims one of the singer's security team shot him in the leg with a BB gun outside a baby shower Spears threw to celebrate her pregnancy.
Paparazzo Brad Diaz and 10 other photographers were staking out Spears' party on Saturday at a rented house in Malibu, Calif.

But the 33-year-old photographer was rushed to Santa Monica Hospital, after a 1.77 caliber lead pellet hit his thigh.

He was released from the hospital four hours later, but doctors were unable to remove the pellet without further damage, because it was embedded too deeply.

Diaz is now planning to press charges, because he believes one of the star's security staff was responsible for the injury.

He says, "I am convinced the shot came from Britney Spears' security guards. I can't believe it, I was on a public street.

"I am planning to press charges. On a scale of one to 10 the pain from the wound is seven."

Diaz's boss Alastair Loose, at photo agency X17agency.com, adds, "Brad is very sore and very angry. The pellet was fired from a very high-powered air rifle."

Sergeant Robert Knudson of the local sheriff's department confirms, "One of the paparazzi at the location had a pellet shot injury to his leg.

"We don't know where it came from or any other details of the incident at this point."
