two jurors regret jackson acquittal

no doubt to help sell their upcoming books..but read on:

Two Jackson jurors regret acquittal
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two of the jurors who voted to acquit singer Michael Jackson of child molestation and other charges say they regret their decisions.

"They're he ones that let a pedophile go," said Eleanor Cook, about 10 of the other people she served with in the Michael Jackson case.
By Aaron Lambert, AP

Jurors Ray Hultman and Eleanor Cook, who both have pending book deals, planned to appear Monday night on the new MSNBC show Rita Cosby: Live and Direct.

In a preview shown Monday on NBC's Today, Cosby asked Cook if the other jurors will be angry with her.

"They can be as angry as they want to. They ought to be ashamed. They're the ones that let a pedophile go," responded Cook, 79.

Hultman, 62, told Cosby he was upset with the way other jurors approached the case: "The thing that really got me the most was the fact that people just wouldn't take those blinders off long enough to really look at all the evidence that was there."

Hultman has said previously that when jurors took an anonymous poll early in their deliberations he was one of three jurors who voted for conviction.

On June 13, the jurors unanimously acquitted Jackson of all charges, which alleged that he molested a 13-year-old boy, plied the boy with wine and conspired to hold him and his family captive so they would make a video rebutting a damaging television documentary.

Explaining the turnaround by Cook and Hultman, Larry Garrison, who is working with both on their separate books and a combined television movie, said all the jurors "had an agreement (to be united) and then basically when they went on Larry King Live, both Eleanor and Ray couldn't tolerate what was going on anymore. They said, 'Enough is enough.'"

Cook told Cosby: "The air reeked of hatred and people were angry and I had never been in an atmosphere like that before."

In June, Hultman told The Associated Press about the verdict: "That's not to say he's an innocent man. He's just not guilty of the crimes he's been charged with."

During an appearance on ABC's Good Morning America with five other jurors in June, Cook was one of three who raised their hands when asked if they thought Jackson may have molested other children but not the 13-year-old boy.

"We had our suspicions, but we couldn't judge on that because it wasn't what we were there to do," she said at the time.

Hultman's book will be called The Deliberator and Cook's is Guilty as Sin, Free as a Bird, said Garrison. Part of the profits from their book sales will go to charity, he said.

Both were in seclusion and unavailable for comment until after the MSNBC broadcast, Garrison said.

True, they DID let a child molester go free, but at least kids aren't in danger of being molested by MJ unless their parents are stupid enough to bring them to his house. Sadly, there are quite a few idiot parents out there, but what can you do?
I guess we should just be thankful that this wasn't the jury at the Scott Peterson trial. Cause these numbnuts would have aquitted him and a murderer would be free to kill again.

Exactly. They had their chance to speak up during the trial, and vote to convict him if they truly felt that he was guilty. But now that the trial is over, these two jurors are just trying to create controversy so they can sell alot of books and stay in the headlines rolleyes

This is a major issue in America right now, the fact that jurors can freely talk about anything relating to their deliberations, the evidence and the verdict after or even during a trial is ridiculous. This is freedom of speech gone mad and is not allowed to happen in most European countries, which, ironically have the best Human Rights legislation there is.

Something MUST be done in the US to prevent this. Sadly, its worryin that most Americans fall into the trap everytime, anyone who buys these books needs their heads re-examined, i wouldnt give my cash to that 79 yr old bitch under any circumstances. She has dramatically changed her tune since someone obviously waved a big cheque in front of her. Really Really Pathetic.

This is absolute Bullshit. If ray and grandma thought he was guilty, then they should of spoke up. Don't pull this oh we were pressured shit. They are 79 and 62 years old, they should know better. Why is it now when that they are getting paid and offered a book and movie deal that is million dollars that they change their minds? Why didn't they speak up after the verdict was read or when they were on Larry King? I don't buy this bullshit.

I can' t believe this shitty trial is continuing!!! What the hell are those guys thinking. If they thought he was guilty, they should have put in into prison and not make money off it. BASTARDS!!!!

MONEY

Are you infected with the same disease
Of lust, gluttony and greed
Then watch the ones
With the biggest smiles
The idle jabbers
'Cause they're the backstabbers

If you show me the cash
Then I will take it
If you tell me to cry
Then I will fake it
If you give me a hand
Then I will shake it

You would do anything for money

Anything
Anything
Anything for money
I'd lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil

What difference does it make? And you know, it actually makes THEM look bad. If he WAS guilty, they should have not decided that he was innocent. I think it’s HORRIBLE that someone would let someone go innocent, if they were guilty. They are just as bad…no even worse, if you ask me. Not only did they not convict a guilty man who’s out and free to do this again, BUT they are making money off of their mistake. It’s despicable. I have NO faith in our justice system.

And no I don’t think MJ is guilty…but just sayin that if you are gonna cry wolf…one should look at oneself for blame.

These two have no credibility whatsoever. Ray Hultman was the main juror on multiple talk shows after the verdict and he constantly contradicted himself. He's a moron and doesn't really know what to believe which is why the other jurors were able to talk him out of his opinion. Grandma's granddaughter announced she was writing a book during the deliberations so I think we know where she's coming from. Both are scum.
