Interesting thing about this album is the approach he is taking. He isn't trying to be cool or work with the latest producers he wants to deliver a straigh forward r&b album. He recently reffered to himself and New Edition "NU OLD SCHOOL"

No, this one was supposed to be out last year, at the earliest, and then kept getting delayed. The album with the song produced by the Neptunes was also delayed a few times as well.

I guess Babyface decided to go back to his "smooth" image. He caught a lot of flack for working with The Neptunes and changing his look (Maxwell meets Lenny hairdo). I was never big on his music, but the dude is talented.

have any of you heard the first single "Sorry For The Stupid Things"? I haven't heard it yet because I don't really listen to the radio anymore.

That's an entirely different album.It was titled 'Love Story' and was supposed to be released early last year.A single and video "The Loneliness" was released,but the album was apparently cancelled.Babyface went back into the studio,recorded some new tracks,kept a few of the 'Love Story' songs,and he is now getting ready to release a revised version of the album,which is now titled 'Grown and Sexy'.Here's the original 'Love Story' album cover and tracklist

I remember Mayte was in one of his videos a couple of years ago. As I'm typing I can't remember the song (it will come to me when I'm on the freeway, no doubt), but it was one of his few recent songs I actually liked.
Babyface is one of those artists whose music I'm not really into, but I just like the guy.

Yeah I got the Love Story album off the net. He made a good decision not to put it out cause it was pretty weak - it wouldve been a major disgrace to his discography and catalog. I still got the album for a collector's item though. Good lookin out on the cover - Ima blow it up and print it out.

Last album I got of his was "the day". Not much of an album, but the mariah featured cut and "how come how long" still get spins occasionally.
