Massive Attack - Blue line album got it and it' s great. But the song Be glad for what you got reminds me so much of Sade' s Keep looking.
But Unfinished sympathy ROCKS! Those "drums" played on bottles and piano accords and her voice just give you the feeling of heaven. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Agreed. Hymn of the Big Wheel is my stand out track. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Did you notice guys, taht in the last song, there' s line that inspired Gwen Stefani' s Rich girl? The melody and lyrics are identical. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

"Five Man Army" and "Safe From Harm" are my picks. Their cover of Be Thankful for What You've Got is nice, even though I like William DeVaughn's version better. "Daydreaming" is another favorite.....VH1 Classic showed the video not too long ago. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I normally like an artist's earlier work better than I do their later work, but Mezzanine blows Blue Lines out of the water, imo. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Best thing Massive Attack did was get Tricky started.

are those albums funkY? What style are they? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Love Safe From Harm on this album, plus Big Wheel and Unfinished Sympathy. Has anyone ever heard Tina Turners version of Unfinished Sympathy.....its .... erm....interesting.
I really love Mezzanine and Protection too, but i wasn't overly keen on their last album. Nothing really affected me like all their previous works have. Teardrop is my all time favourite of theirs, just perfection.

are those albums funkY? What style are they? Tricky was apart of Massive Attack, but he went solo in 95. He raps on two of my favorite songs from Blue Lines...Five Man Army and Daydreaming. Tricky's on their album Protection too, but I forgot which songs exactly. You should check some of his stuff out. Maxinquaye is his debut album and as a whole probably my favorite by him Mezzanine isn't really funky.....but it's still good. It's a little darker and more experimental with a rock edge to some songs, like Angel. Other than Teardrop, Angel is one of my favorites from that album. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I love Teardrop! And Massive Attack, although they don't thrill me as much as
PORTISHEAD. Keep your headphones on.

Portishead sound real cool. I' ve heard some of their songs and I liked them. Haven' t heard a whole album yet, but I was thinking about getting one. If you want to start off with Portishead albums, go get PNYC. It's a live album they did in New York. As amazing as the studio versions are, the live ones are mindblowing. Keep your headphones on.

I think William DeVaughn recorded the original version. Love the album. I woke up sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert
