Funny, I used to hear this, and I always thought it was Blood Sweat and Tears, the lead singer even sounded like David Clayton Thomas..... In the late 60's/early 70's, The midwest seemed to have a lot of brass-based groups like this, Chicago, Ides of March, etc..... ...
