tlc and prince

speaking of TLC, why do I hear about Prince possibly a ghost writer on "Waterfalls".
Did TLC and Prince have any history/story together?

I know about the cover IIWYG (which is my fave Prince cover).
and did TLC cover "get it up" by the time?

People were talking about "Waterfall" by former Revolution members Wendy And Lisa.

Yep, it was a single, and it's on the Poetic Justice soundtrack (1993).

I had the cassingle for TLC's "Get It Up" which had 2 versions. You like TLC's other version?

Or ya don't care for TLC's remake at all?

Its ok. It was just then typical dallis austin remake. Dallis did not seem to put much effort into it, as it was only a soundtrack song.

His best work is on ABC's debut "coolin' at the playground", which has dated alot, but is funky as hell.

I used to hear the rumor quite often shortly after their Crazy Sexy Cool period. Just wondered if there was any truth to it.

Speaking of Waterfalls, did Paul McCartney even get any songwriting credit on that? I'm no big TLC fan, so I've never seen the liner notes.

Thanks, Cee! thumbs up! I was guessing not, because it was just a line or two from his song, Waterfalls. Thanks for filling me in.

Yes, Chilli and Prince did hook up. One of Left Eye's family members confirmed it after Left Eye's death.

Did you take the time to read the post directly above yours? It would tell you why he was mentioned.

Well, you can at least tell that TLC was HEAVILY influenced by Prince during their CrazySexyCool period because Red Light Special sounds like a rip off of Blue Light on the Symbol album, they covered IIWYG, and Waterfalls is basically an updated version of the single Sign 'O' The Times. Prince also mentioned that he would have loved to have had them as a girl group right around that time.
