South Norwalk, Connecticut will be host to the great Sono Arts Festival www.sonoarts.org this weekend. One of the highlights will be a Funk Fest on Saturday Aug. 6th from 7:00pm-Midnight. It's all FREE and the location is only one hour north of NYC. Gi Dussault of the "Upper Room" and myself will be there. The bands featured:

WHATUP FUNK BAND (www.whatupfunk.com). Amazing funk and R&B band from Bridgeport, CT who were featured on my TV show. They also do a killer "Musicology/Life O The Party" mix.



FREEKBASS (www.freekbass.com) . Funk bass at its best. BOOTSY COLLINS produced this Ohio artist's two CDs.



BOMB SQUAD (www.bombsquadonline.com)This Connecticut funk band performed on the American Music Awards two years ago. Their lead singer Jen Durkin was also lead vocalist with Bernie Worrell and the WOO Warriors and Deep Banana Blackout.
