Yes,he did.He offered it to them in 1987 for inclusion on their second album 'Magic',but they rejected it.In an interview, they said that they simply didn't think it was strong enough for their album.Prince didn't seem to mind.He allowed them to film their video "I Do You" at his Paisley Park studio. Thanks David

I used to love them! One of my first concerts was in 1986 with the Jets, Jermaine Stewart (RIP), and Stacey Q!!!!!
In the mid-late 90's the Jets set up camp in Phoenix, AZ and used to play every Friday and Saturday nights at a Scottsdale (NE Phx) night club called JETZ N STIX (If I remember correctly JETZ was one side of the club and STIX was the other....they played in..well..the JETZ room). I turned 21 in '96 and remember going out to see them a couple of times that year...they were actually a very tight band. I can't remember if it was all the original members but it was most of them. JETZ N STIX was the place to be back then...you'd see celebs that were in town visiting or local celebs like Charles Barkley when he played with the Phx Suns. STIX played mostly R&B/hip hop which was the shit back then...I'd break it down to the likes of 2Pac 'California Love' and Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' and other jams of the day..... ahhh...memories! Every minute of last night is on my face today....
