He orginally got into the spotlight as one of Madonna dancers. Everybody video and Lucky Star video. He didn't go on the Virgin tour as a dancer though. I think he was one of her dressers. Apprently there was a rift after Madonna started working with Jamie King instead of him on her projects. But I believe they are back to be a loving family again. Joe wrote a song called Stop that Madonna turned into Don't Stop they also recorded Gulity by Assocation together. Body Language is better than Damita Jo. 1. Body Language is better than Damita Jo. And Kylie's vocals is a perfect fit with nu electro-pop. 2. Fever is NOT crap. It's a masterpiece. But to be fair, Love At First Sight (U.S. Video Mix) is a better version than the album version. While Body Language is nice, it suffers from out-dated production in some of the middle tracks...and if Janet sung this album instead, it may have been the start of her downfall 2 me. Oops! I meant the second husband. Sean Penn was husband #1 (and if seeing those 2 egos clashing wasn't a perfect example of a royal pain Madonna could be at times). Anyway, the second husband (and father of Madonna's little girl) wanted Madonna's help to jump start his music/movie career. And she didn't. Why? Because Madonna wanted him to pay his due. In other words: She didn't even wanted to share the spotlight with her own husband!!!! So much of the wife being the husband's best friend huh?!? 
AND ONE MORE THING: I respect Madonna as a sucessful artist just as much as YOU do Tessa. But don't expect me (or too many others of that matter) to always make up excuses for this woman if it so clear that Madonna herself was (and sometimes, still is) WRONG about a lot of professional (or personal) decisions that she made in her life (like dissing Teena Marie or Janet Jackson for example). And BTW, Kylie doesn't need to be like Madonna because she IS BETTER than Madonna these days! So get over it and stop playerhating on Kylie!!!

her husband had quite the movie career going prior to marrying Madonna. (even if his movies were 2nd-rate Tarentino knock-offs). it was when they married and made a movie together that his career tanked. even if it was the kiss of death, agreeing to star in one of his movies is hardly akin to shoving him out of the limelight.
