Roland Orzabal This man is totally underated as a vocalist/writer/guitarist/keyboardist
I just got Elemental recently and it's fantastic! Thier B -sides are also very experimental and genre-bending. (Roland is the vocalist for Tears for Fears)

I always thought that Elemental was the last great Tears for Fears album--even though it was just Roland by then...
the song he wrote for Oleta Adams, "Rhythm Of Life", was the only tune I really liked on her solo debut... Their recent album, "Everybody Loves A Hapy Ending", was a little too Beatle-esque for me, but the very last track--"Last Days On Earth"-- sounds like classic Tears for Fears --it would've fit nicely on the Elemental album... ... Elemental is one of my favorite slept on albums of all time. I was depressed at the time it came out and it could have been just me, but the album had a depressing feel to it. And then the last track makes you feel like everything is going to be okay. Again, maybe it was just me. And off the last album I loved "Ladybird" but couldn't really get into the rest of the album. Anyone know why they cancelled their tour?

get his solo album "tomcats screaming outside"
Roland does fucking drum n' bass!!!! the song "hey andy" is das schit! TFF are so underrated and they are sadly known for their few hits (but their songs that were not released as singles - like "the working hour" every song off 'the seeds of love' album and 'raoul & the kings of spain' album... AMAZING!!!)

Roland - good producer and songwriter. Biggest mouth in all of pop music. Seriously...it's huge. Gauge that mutha.

And I really like TFF's latest Everybody loves a Happy Ending. Great songwriting, melodies, production, and yes very "Beatlesesque". Sounds like a natural extension of Sowing the Seeds of Love. By the way anyone here have the re-released UK version of Happy Ending with the two bonus tracks? If so how are they? Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
