I don't care for Ashanti, but I don't think she is as bad as some exxagerate on. I remember when everyone was on her shit in 2002 like she was the hottest thing since sliced bread, ya know..."Princess of R&B". Now, everyone is saying how talentless she is, even those who were singing her praises have now joined the bandwagon.  The timing was perfect for when she came out. Anyways, I think Ashitti is horrible. I'm ashamed to I brought the first album the week it came out cause I liked "Foolish". Then I heard her sing live and I wasn't impressed. What did it for me was when Soul Train was going to award Ashanti the Entertainer of The Year for the Lady of Soul Show. I was pissed cause there were women who deserved it more than she did. I even signed an online petition trying to stop her from getting it. I was done with her after that.I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

The only thing Ashanti has going for her is her looks.I can't lie,she is a pretty young woman.But other than that,she is talentless.Yes,she writes songs but her lyrics are bland and repetitive with absolutely no substance...

LOL.Her songs are shit.Her vocals are as thin as air.I never understood why people went crazy over her in 2002.That "Foolish" song is a joke.Weak vocals and generic lyrics over a DeBarge sample that was already used by a popular rapper! She (and her producers) can't even pick original samples to steal from,lol. | |
