Is Electroclash dead?

A scene that I feel Prince had a heavy influence upon, any other fans think this scene is over now. I know here in England, there are still many electroclash nights going on, but as its quite a few years old now, is it time for something new to takeover??

Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Electroclash died when Fischerspooner signed to a major label. Here in NYC, indie clubs still play a good amount of electro, but you don't see all electroclash nights anymore. At least I haven't.

Electroclash (Read: New Electro) is dying because Ladytron has yet to release a new album!

Kylie Minogue could buy us some time. But for how much longer?

it's not the craze that it used to be, though of all the alternative music trends of the past few years, i have to say it was my favorite. i have a warm spot in my black little heart for acts like chicks on speed, adult., miss kittin and of course, my favorite electro ingenue, peaches. love

God I hope not it is my favorite genre of music. I love...

peaches, chicks on speed, adult, mount sims, crossover, shannon,Frischerspooner, planet patrol, afrika bambaataa, etc. A lot of people want this scene to be dead and a lot of the electro artists are trying to distance themselves from that scene. They want to be taken more seriously.

Do you know of a UK band called Kill City? The singer is Lisa Moorish. She has kids by Pete Doherty and Liam from Oasis. I heard some of their tracks and it sounds cool.

Electroclash specifically only refers to the new acts. So your classic artists like Shannon and Planet Patrol are still safe.

Ok cool! I had to list them though as they are the originators!
