I like mostly all of those songs.Even the few weak songs on these charts kill most of the crap that we hear nowadays.

I know ALL of those songs and own most of them. Now, in 20 years will we be able to say the same looking back on the current charts?

I'm loving practically every track from both years. They can keep the fashion but I'll always love the music.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I always liked the way "State Of Shock" concludes, with Mick saying...

"you got me...you get me...you got me in a state of shock...look at me...LOOK AT ME....LOOK AT ME"

it's a classic (and totally unexpected) collaboration.Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger jammin' a rock tune together, lol.

Classic music!!! There is only one song out of those 40 that I could not sing or hum most of. That being:

11. Breakin'… There's No Stopping Us * Ollie & Jerry

I recognize the title and artist but for the life of me I forget how it goes.

confuse

Every one of those songs is great! I especially like "Is There Something I Should Know" by Duran Duran,"Baby Jane" by Rod Stewart,"Cuts Like A Knife" by Bryan Adams and "Wanna Be Startin Something" by MJ.I always say that 1983 was truly one of the last great years for pop music.

I love that song, totally reminds me of the movie. The CD soundtrack is really hard to come by, or mega expensive on e-bay. I just downloaded all the songs.

We won't, but our children will:

"Remember music back in the 00's?"

"Yeah, classic stuff like R.Kelly and 50 Cent!"

"Man, they don't make music like that today in the 2020's."

"Right, today's music sucks compared to when we were growing up at the turn of the century!"

lol

Those are great, great songs. I have MANY of those songs on the albums. I especially remember the videos for the songs. MTV was cool back then.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."
