"Put Your Hands On" should have been on all of the versions of the album. It's one of the best songs from DJ. Damita Jo over American Life, no question. "All Nite (Don't Stop)" and "SloLove" are two of Janet's best.

And how many #1 dance hits did "American Life" have? If you count "Die Another Day" the answer would be five. "Mother And Father" also went top 10. It's all about the remix and I must admit the remixes for the "American Life" single were magnificent (although how could a remixer not improve that song, right?)

I think someone should have looped the lottay, shottay and bottay over and over and over again and added a few cash register sounds in the background Rauhofer's mixes have been mucho boring lately, so he would have been ideal.

AL is one of my favorite albums. by anyone.
DJ is one of the biggest disappointments of my life. so does that answer it? "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

GangstaFam said: SassyBritches said: damita jo by a landslide in my opinion. i think damita jo is better than all for you AND janet. yep, that's right - i think its only topped by 1814 and velvet rope. american life is a good madonna record. i think it was way better than music. regardless, i don't think it stands anywhere near damita jo. i've always preferred janet over madonna and certainly there's a bias because of that but even considering that bias, damita jo is a fun record. even if the topics are tired and played out - which it can be argues that they are - it still has better dance tracks and better pop fun than anything on american life. madge took herself way too seriously with american life (and i bet the contrast between this new record and her last will show that even madonna must acknowledge that she took herself too seriously). janet just wanted to make another fun pop record. she succeeded.
Ya know I love you, but... i love you too but why am i nuts?

Die Another Day American Life Hollywood Nothing Fails Love Profusion all went #1 on the dance charts Nobody Knows Me went to #2 Mother and Father went to #9 http://en.wikipedia.org/w...hy#Singles Madge has more dance #1's than anyone.
