Anyone into Loius XIV? Is it any good or are they just another Bravery/Killers type band? I heard they're a bit more glam rock, like T Rex. Is the cd any good? | |

I have their CD, they are OK, about a six on a 1 to 10 scale. They're from San Diego but put on this silly brit glam rock persona which doesn't really help them distinguish themselves from any other REAL british group that's out now. I read one article about them that stated they changed their whole image from an artsy folkish style band when they were known as Convoy into what they are now as Louis XIV.
IMO, they aren't as good as The Killers by a long shot, but probably are better or too similar to The Bravery in terms of sound. This post has been modified from its original thought. It has been formatted to fit into the space and run in the time allotted. |

I'm a bit skeptical about getting into them though they look interesting. I don't think I could get into the Bravery or the Killers either. Brit pop isn't really my cuppa but I would have been more into it for the glam aspect. | |
