Leela James What y'all think of Ms. Leela James? She just dropped her debut album called "A Change Gonna Come" and you can catch her video on Vh1 Soul in heavy rotation. BET's asses don't hardly play it, that figures. She has a gritty soulful voice and her first single "Music" is basically her lament for the return of real music (in a nutshell). She's wonderfully talented and refreshing. Sorry if a thread about her has been started already. I didn't see one. Anyway, check her out y'all:

She has one of the best voices I've heard within the last 15 years. Her album is damn solid. Also, pick up Lina's album The Inner Beauty Movement, very nice as well. "But what of black women? . . .
