iItunes: should shut down at 9:00 p.m.

iTunes is too damn dangerous late at night. It's forcing me to spend money, dammit. but i LOVE it.

tonight i bought:

Alana Davis - - Surrender Dorothy. (i love her voice...)

Longwave - - There's a Fire (kinda reminds me of arcade fire)

VNV Nation - - Matter and Form (great modern new wave album)

Engineers - - Engineers (mellow and trippy... very melodic. )

Bob Mould - - Workbook (i love his new one, so I had to revisit this one which i used to have on cassette).

and then i realized I had just spent $50.00 in like 7 minutes, and i promptly closed out of the store before I could do more damage to my checkbook.

But, damn, i love iTunes, heh cool cool

I only looked at the store for the first time tonight and saw that they had an Annie tune for the free download of the week. How does it work? Do you need a credit card? Are they all 99 cents each?

Annie. But speaking of Annie Lennox ~ the music you put on my iPod by her is just plain amazing. Are they B sides or singles ~ or some of the rare stuff you told me about? I LOVE it!

you set up an account w/ either a credit card or a debit card. songs are 99 cent a piece, but the real savings are on albums. almost all full albums are only 9.99. i rarely buy CDs anymore, i pretty much do all my shopping at itunes now.

I'm still wary of that cuz I find a lot of my CD's used for 6 or 8 bucks AND I get the packaging.

That's true but it could be great for obscure things like Dance Of The Infidel which took forever to release here (then they screwed up the US packaging anyway). Would iTunes have those type of things ~ or old old things that you can't find anywhere?

they won't have it if it's out of print... and they don't have everything. (for example = the only Red Hot Chili Peppers CD on iTunes is their Greatest Hits). it depends on the record labels, and the contractual situations, and the artists wishes, etc..

BUT, that being said, they do have an incredible selection. 90% of what I want to buy is on iTunes.

I just downloaded my first Itune (for pay...before that I downloaded the free Annie song "Me Plus One", which I already had on her CD). I downloaded the exclusive track "I Got Your Love" by Donna Summer. I love it. I understand what you mean about it being addictive. I want to download more but am holding back.
