I just bought my copy today.....



It includes the music videos:

1. Super Freak
2. Give It To Me Baby
3. Standing On The Top
4. Ebony Eyes
5. Glow

It was great to see "Give It To Me Baby" and "Standing On The Top" again after all these years. I had never seen "Ebony Eyes" or "Glow" before.

I wish there were more videos on it, but hey, what can you expect for only $6.99.

I haven't seen many Rick James music videos because I didn't have BET until the 1990s and the other video channels never played much Rick James. I have heard that a video of "69 Times" exists though.

With as much space as a DVD holds, they should have put all of Rick's videos. If that wasn't enough, they could have included videos by The Mary Jane Girls and "Party All The Time" with Rick and Eddie Murphy. I've seen many of the "20th Century Masters" series DVDs and they all include about five songs, which makes no sense.

I picked up the concert DVD today also. I special ordered both DVDs from the local record store. If I hadn't, that tired record store wouldn't have had it. I guess I'll have to special order the new album also.

I didn't know he had a video for "69 Times".I love that song!

I don't support the 20th Century Masters CDs or DVDs. They are too skimpy with their material.

Hard 2 Get and 69 Times kinda look alike Vainandy...just watch VH1 Classic Soul it comes on from time 2 time.

Just picture Rick James singing on a live stage with no one in the crowd like "Burn Rubber On Me" - Gap Band & "Dont Stop The Music" - Y & P.

Lemme see, I have also seen the video for that song he had with Roxanne Shante, he is dancing in a "Glamorus Life" type set up in red leather with all these girls. Nothin special.

Mary jane had a video too didnt it? Like on the Soul Train?

As far as I know, Mary Jane never had an official video or "promo clip" as they were known back then. The one that they have been playing was from "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve" from 1978. He did "You And I" on there also. VH1 aired that episode in the mid to late 1990s when they showed some of the episodes.

I had to special order the DVD also...and I just got the call that it's arrived. I had to go one of those local music stores as well.

So, any feedback from the concert DVD? Highlights? Lows?
