Confession: 'I Wanna Sex You Up', although incredibly tacky, still reminds me of being 10, so I have it on my iPod.

I won't lie, I liked CMB. I didn't buy their albums but I liked all the stuff they released and I agree with laurarichardson, I'd rather have someone sing something simple and do it well than then try to do vocal acrobatics that their voice can't handle. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yea, I have an old rant about this group.
Sure, they look corny and at times do too radio friendly fare, but nobody can deny this group didn't make catchy, decent soul music, especially on the Time And Chance album. The remake of Wildflower is stunning. All you others say Hell Yea!!

The remake of Wildflower is stunning. I can deny, whole heartedly, that it was "catchy" or "decent" and there was a huge lack of "soul" in their music. They were a lame, wanna-be group, through and through. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. In dancing, Bobby Brown would destory all NKOTB members by his damn self! In power vocals, Johnny Gill would sweep all of NKOTB off the stage! As for the leadership role, Jordan Knight can f*** with Ralph Tresvant!

JediMaster said: TonyVanDam said: Hangin' Tough? ....right! I'd just like to see them hang...period! CMB were a decent harmony group. So they were corny, so what? As someone else said "j ador...." is a gorgeous song. And "all for love" is a retro lite number. "time and chance" had one of the best jam and lewis cuts aswell. "choose" is a gorgeous song. Their remix album has some nice cuts aswell.

I still stand with jordan knight having the better, more soulful voice over ralph. And johnny gill is just a luther clone.

Plus they wrote 2 top notch soulful ballads on his solo aswell. "close my eyes" is a gorgeous jam and lewis cut. I gotta hear it now actually. As a kid, i taped the video "give it to you" and would copy the moves for school disco's. The dancing in that video was slammin'.

Oh, even though this is a piss take thread (which is fine ) CMB's first and second albums are actually very solid and even soulful in places.
