I can't wait for a new album! I have to admit, I was
disappointed by mama's gun, but I've listened to it
again these past few days and it is growing on me a
bit more.

I'd love some more uptempo songs from her again.

WORLDWIDE UNDERGROUND is one of the best albums ever imo! I love the digital vibe most of the tracks had. She went from neo soul o futuristic soul with that album "FREAKquency" are an amazing production team.

I keep hearing new music by the fall. When she tours, normally new music follows. She has said many times that touring is her muse.

Thanks for the pics...I LOVE ERYKAH...I've seen her live four times and each time she out does herself. I mean the last time I saw her live she was on stage pregnant yet she so full of energy. I took a friend of mine to that show and he instantly became a fan...

Thank you for this thread and the funky photos. I have been playing Erykah non-stop since catching her at Sugar Water Festival. I am dying for something new and for her to tour solo again 'cause five songs is not enough.

I thought the whole show was awesome. Most surprising was Queen Latifah who really got things jumping with her mix of hip hop and songs from the Dana Owens project. Jill and Erykah--great as usual but I was really hyped to see Erykah and she just needs more time to do her stuff 'cause you know she's a bit to the left of things so... she may play her drum machine a little long or go into an extended mix or reinvention of Apple Tree or she may decide NOT to sing a song after she's already a few bars in. Danger was the shit as usual but people seem to have a hard time feeling her. If she doesn't do the big radio hits like On and On, and Tyrone people seem clueless. I've never heard her do Bag Lady tho. If it's her own show then you know the crowd came to see Erykah do whatever it is that she's gonna do.

People were leaving during her set as well. I wanted to blame it on the fact that it was late and people needed to get on the road but I think people just don't dig her. I saw her during Worldwide Underground and I was truly blown away but a friend of mine saw her do a show before WU dropped and she said once again people were looking like "what is this?"

Erykah's been around for awhile now. Either you dig her or you don't but I find it odd that people still go to her shows and are surprised. I don't get it but I've sworn to see her every chance I get.

I'm surprised that people - who've paid money to see her - are so shocked at what they saw. I've seen her twice, in London, and on both occasions she went down a storm. The crowd LOVED her. And they were two of the best gigs I've ever been to. (The only drawback was one of my mates fainting - , I mean, - during 'Tyrone'. If you're gonna faint, DON'T DO IT IN 'Tyrone'!!!!!).

Lauryn Hill's Ridiculous Delay
Lauryn Hill has annoyed a theatre-full of fans after keeping them waiting for nearly three hours.

The former Fugees singer was set to perform at London's Coliseum at 8pm but a bit of indecision meant her concert didn't actually get underway until 10.40pm.


The reason?

Poor Lauryn couldn't decide what to wear...

When she finally arrived on stage - to heckling and popcorn-throwing by the audience - she announced:

"I have a problem with procrastination. I have a great deal of difficulty deciding what to wear - it's a woman thing."

But there was no apology and her invitation to her fans to get up and dance was declined, reports the Daily Mail.

Needless to say there were plenty of disgruntled folk swarming out of the theatre, with one man shouting:

"That was a disgrace. I paid for a full set, not some half-assed performance that came three hours late. It's so late I can't even get home now.

Another audience member said: "People were getting disappointed, they were walking off. Absolute waste of money. They hustled us."

After about an hour of waiting, a bow-tied official was sent onto the stage to reveal that Ms Hill had been delayed by "heavy traffic" and would be on in 40 minutes.

However, according to the paper, the singer was staying at The Savoy - barely a five minute walk from the theatre.

Just for the record, when Lauryn did make it onto the stage, she was wearing an old-fashioned lace blouse and a long evening skirt.

I heard Erykah had the power to lure men into bed with her. Thats juss some Dallas mythology athough.

I like it because it was spaced out. But I think she wasn't really promoting drug dealing on Danger. I beleive since the song was a continuation of "Other Side of the Game" from Baduizm, I took it as the story that her man fell to the game. GOt arrested: gets out, but he's still hustling and she's trying to be by his side. However, she's afraid for him because there's Danger in the street and the code of the street is shifty and deadly.

I love her scream at the end of the track, because it puncuates the pain.
