After 7: where did they go? One of the best....... ....harmony groups ever in my opinion. Old schoolers can front all they want about the 60's and harmony groups, but the newjack era brought out quite a few underated harmony groups. I dont like boyz to men at all on the harmonies when compared to after 7. They wipe them off clean vocally. Uptempos like "heat of the moment" were standard, but catchy uptempo pop jams, but their slowies are gorgeous. Favs Not enough hours in the night (diane warren can write sexy shit) Can he love you like this takin' my time 'til you do me right (many more) Anyone remember simple pleasure? They had one awesome album out in 1992 Not only good and sincere ballads, but slammin' uptempo's too. David Gamson helped out on some tracks. Shame the album went unnoticed. Of all people Queen latifah is listed as executive producer. [Edited 7/21/05 18:11pm]

they were good...I have their greatest hits comp. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

I like them, but I got really tired of Can't Stop in the summer of 1990. And why didn't they just call themselves The Babyface Group? They're related to him, they look like him, sound like him, and he produced them.

I like their debut single "Heat Of The Moment".The lead singer released a decent solo album several years ago.

my high school boyfriend looked just like kevon... I liked After 7 alot...but that's when people could sing and producers could play instruments and write songs. That was another time. [Edited 7/23/05 17:50pm]

After 7's last album "Reflections" is their best in my opinion!
"How Do You Tell The One", written by Babyface, received alot of play on Urban radio, and would've been a big hit, had it been pushed to Top 40 radio, and released as an actual single. Many other excellent songs off of that album -- "Damn Thing Called Love", How Could You Leave", "Cryin' For It" and more... all show off their vocal harmonies. Kevon Edmonds' debut is excellent too.

I liked After 7! I thought their first CD was especially great. However, it didn't exactly help them that the LaFace camp elected to showcase Kevon's whiny tenor. Melvin definitely had the best lead voice of the trio.
Simple Pleasure -- I think I remember them. Did they do "Where Do We Go From Here" and "Never Before"? If so, then I really liked them back in the day too.
