DOES ANYONE KNOW??? The song was The Storm f. Jay Z from the Baptism album. There's a video for it, but Jigga's not in it. I like the original version over the Jus Blaze remix. I think the album version is funky and the remix was a so-so to me. It was an attempt to get played on R&B stations. It didn't get much play, but BET did play the video once and a while. I hate that artist who don't fit the "R&B" mold have to remix their stuff to try to getplayed on "urban"stations. It's a sad comentary: 1: black people won't listen to anything besided what their used to; 2: all of us want to hear the same thing and 3:we won't get it, so they dumb it down.

Thank you, Im listening to it right now ....I SIMPLY LOVE IT. This will be on my ears for the rest of the week, the chorus is simply beautiful, so are the strings. I may be late, but this remix is TIGHT! I wanna hear the original. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

However, I feel that if my dude was to take a stab at aFunk album , it would be slammin. But, the shitty format radios won't be playing it. It would be wise for him to collaborate with people like ?estlove, and Rapheal Sadiqq. Now, that would be some deep shit. [Edited 7/22/05 1:10am]

he became mildly interesting for me when he released "5"
mainly because of Super Soul Fighter Black Velveteen If You Can't Say No it's a shame that he went back to making consitent shite with only 2 good songs per album after that. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I agree with you, Legs. Saddiq or ?uest would be a good collabo. Lenny's been talking about this funk record for the last 10 years. Supposedly his label doesn't want him to release it. He needs to do something cuz his last 2 joints were w-e-a-k.
