Anyone know of The Plastics? I was watching a film called Downtown 81 and they were one of the bands in the film. They look and sound interesting.

I know of the crew called the Plastics, in the Lindsay Lohan flick "Mean Girls":

I've heard the name before, but I can't really identify their music. I did see some of Downtown 81 though. I caught the James White & the Blacks and Kid Creole & the Coconuts performances.  NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE. | |

Yeah they were that crazy japanese band with the electro music. Good film, huh?! | |
