For those who haven't heard it, you must pick up k.d. lang's last album, "Hymns from the 49th Parallel".
Gorgeous covers that serve as her personal love letter to Canada.

This news made my day*! / fav song from the first cd janfan? I love the track "Everything." The melody of that song is beautiful. But once I start one track on that album I have to play them all. I love "Rock It Till You Drop It (feat. Tone-Loc)" and, of course, "Don't Go (Girls & Boys)." "Kiss Me Fool," "Give It Up," "Take Me Away," "Revolution Song" -- they're all good*!!

I'm a big Barenaked Ladies fan, no matter how uncool it is to like them. 'Gordon' is one of my all time fav albums.

[Edited 7/22/05 6:56am] I can't find anything on him anywhere but I did find this 30 sec audio clip of a new track from an upcoming album he's supposedly working on. However, the news was from October '03! http://remyshand.ca/media...e_clip.ram If he's not having typical label issues then I'm guessing it's a personal thing. Yeah,in 2003,he released a new single on-line,it is titled "A Day In The Shade".I started a thread about it back then.I assume it's a song from an upcoming album. But it's now 2005,and still no new album!

[Edited 7/22/05 0:53am] OH MY G*D, Christopher: me and you are right here --> ::eye-to-eye:: The single version (which is also the theme from the 2003 teen movie "Perfect Score") is the best. The video is my stuff, too. Her album went platinum in Canada, but America didn't blast it at all. She needs to get more love here in the States.

Robert Altman used three songs from it - The Stranger Song, Sisters of Mercy and Winter Lady - in McCabe & Mrs. Miller, a revisionist western. Beautiful songs!

He use to host TRL (not sure 'cause I don't really watch). He has dark hair. I think his name is Damien. They were together when her album was out. At first I thought he just had a crush on her but it seems they were always very affectionate when she was on. He singled her out of all the other guests and gave her flowers on Valentine's Day I think. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Oh, ya. Damien from TRL. No, I didn't know anything about this 'cause I don't watch the show. www.fefe-dobson.org is a great place to go for info on that. They know everything about her (and she goes there herself).

Recorded over seven months, Fefe hooked up with the likes of Matthew Wilder (producer of No Doubt's 'Tragic Kingdom'), Billy Steinberg, and Dallas Austin. She also got together with ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John5, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett, and even Courtney Love herself during the early songwriting stages. The music video for "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" is being filmed this week in L.A. It should hit your TV set sometime in August. Source: Fefe-Dobson.org (best Fefe site.)
