Man, this song is killin'! Released in 70, this song, still to this day, is one of the warmest, most hopeful songs. Loved this all of my life. Who else here digs it?

I only first got into it after watching Boyz N The Hood.

I remember hearing this song at the end of the teen rebellion movie "Over The Edge" (Vincent Spano and a very young Matt Dillon-1979)..I think Carlene Carter re-did it in the movie. She did a pretty good job.

It should be. This movie was on target for how it was for a lot of kids in So. Cali at the time. I can watch that movie, and I actually have known kids that were JUST like the characters in that film.

Great Tune! BTW, Jerome Brailey (who would later be Parliament's dynamic drummer) was playing drums with the Stairsteps around the time this record was cut, but I don't know if he recorded in the studio at that time, or just toured with them...
