anyway to answer the question, some do, some dont. but none are really what you would call fans. and its really interesting to see, because i noticed the ones who like him are the really nice and caring kind of people, and the ones who hate him are the ones who are pretty bitchy and are really upfront and loud about their opinions. im not trying to put down people who dont like him, i mean my best friend hates him and i dont really care, but its seriously something i noticed among my friends

I've got 3 friends who are big MJ fans, one is a huge Prince fan too, so that's great. One I met when we both got weekend jobs at a Virgin Megastore while at college - she overheard a conversation once and thought I was slagging him off so jumped in to give me a bollocking The other 2 I met at that hilariously tacky "Killer Thriller" party in London when Michael showed up.

All my regular friends I grew up with aren't fans but do like him a lot. I think they had to when I made then wait in line for a good 8 hours at the HIStory tour so we could get right to the front

I remember when this came on HBO. I was in the 8th grade. At school, we must have talked about thsi concert for the next 2 weeks straight. It was an awesome concert. MJ reminded all of us why we loved him so much. I still have a VHS copy of the concert that my mom taped when I was a kid.

interesting. I' ve noticed that too. People who can get over his eccenticities are usually the open ones and I usually trust them more. not that all my friends would be crazy about him, but they at least are willing to listen to me and that' s OK also.
