To many nose jobs ruin your voice. That is why 95% of this concert is lip synced. Too many nose jobs in your voice. LOL! That's a good one! Chappelle should use that in a Charlie Murphy skit. (Joe Jackson holding MJ against a wall by the neck.) "Boy, you need to go back to being black. You can't sing no more. You had too many damn nose jobs in your voice." Siedah Garrett showed us WHY some folks should lip synch. "We can change the worrrrrld To mar rooooow. WTF! Where did that Ethel Merman s*** come from? This lady is an excellent session vocalist and writer. Did Bubbles put something in her tea before the show? We won't discuss the Brand New Heavies. We'll cut and paste and delete that from our minds.

ehuffnsd said: i think most artist started moving over to arenas from stadiums to make more money. fewer seats one can justify the higher price. plus there are few artist that can pull stadium sized crowds. the Jacksons, the Stones, Madonna, NSYNC U2 and Garth Brooks are the only ones i can think of. I find that hard to believe. It would that mean fifteen- to twentythousand people buying tickets to an arena show would hold up to thirty- to fiftythousand (or more) people buying tickets to a stadium show. To ensure an increase in revenue from ticketsales would take the ticketprices to be absurd, not taking in mind the decreased merchandising or the difference in the costs of staging the concert. ehuffnsd said: [setlists were here]
even though the songs aren't always in the same order the cherography is the same and the costumes are similar. My point exactly!

To be fair, name some black artists who regularly fill stadiums other than MJ. Tina Turner is the only one I can think of. Pretty much NONE other than those 2 outside the USA.

I've got 3 friends who are big MJ fans, one is a huge Prince fan too, so that's great. One I met when we both got weekend jobs at a Virgin Megastore while at college - she overheard a conversation once and thought I was slagging him off so jumped in to give me a bollocking The other 2 I met at that hilariously tacky "Killer Thriller" party in London when Michael showed up.
All my regular friends I grew up with aren't fans but do like him a lot. I think they had to when I made then wait in line for a good 8 hours at the HIStory tour so we could get right to the front

Jermaine talking.....it was around the time of the RnR hall of fame induction. 97 woulda been a perfect time for such a reunion.

the only one that is good quality is first leg Japan ones. But it only has bad and I Just Cant Stop Loving You from the Bad album. Man In The Mirror, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Way You Make Me Feel are later added when the Tour hits Europe. England concerts are considered to be his best ones. There were rumours that it'd be released. You can watch some performances at http://www.jetzi-mjvideos.com/cts Dirty Diana, Bad and Heartbreak Hotel rocks live. By the way the the videos are size of an envelope stamp, you need to rick click on the lil screen and choose 'Play In Real Player' so you can enlarge them in your player.

I remember when this came on HBO. I was in the 8th grade. At school, we must have talked about thsi concert for the next 2 weeks straight. It was an awesome concert. MJ reminded all of us why we loved him so much. I still have a VHS copy of the concert that my mom taped when I was a kid.

interesting. I' ve noticed that too. People who can get over his eccenticities are usually the open ones and I usually trust them more. not that all my friends would be crazy about him, but they at least are willing to listen to me and that' s OK also. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

To many nose jobs ruin your voice. That is why 95% of this concert is lip synced. You're right about Human Nature, but listen to She's Out Of My Life, I Just Can't Stop.. and the absolute highlight: Workin' Day And Night. Also no lip syncing and his voice sounds great.

So, now that it is released in the UK, can someone review this disc?
Is there any post-production? Remastered sound? How is the quality of the picture? Thanks [Edited 7/29/05 4:21am]

I preferred Eddie Murphy's take on that in Delirious Talking of lack of originality, I know we Wacko fans have a whole list of repetetive stuff to note, but I remember first seeing Janet's Hawaii AFY concert with some friends and we could literally count down to the second when she'd stop, weep and wipe her brow during 'Again' [Edited 8/2/05 12:39pm]
